MEDUZA have returned with new music, teaming up with Khalid for their latest single, ‘Weekend’.
The collaboration brings together two artists who have built successful careers by moving fluidly between genres. Since their breakthrough with ‘Piece Of Your Heart’, MEDUZA have established themselves as one of house music’s most recognizable acts. Khalid, meanwhile, has continued to expand his presence in the electronic music space through collaborations with artists including Disclosure, Kygo, and Martin Garrix.
Following their previous single, ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’, ‘Weekend’ marks MEDUZA’s fifth release of the year. The track combines the Italian trio’s signature house production with Khalid’s instantly recognizable, smooth vocals.
Reflecting on the collaboration, MEDUZA described working with Khalid as “an incredible experience from start to finish,” adding that both artists brought “so much passion” to the record and hope listeners can connect with the emotion behind the song.
The release arrives during another busy year for the Italian trio. Since breaking onto the global dance music scene in 2019, MEDUZA have built one of the genre’s most successful catalogues, accumulating billions of streams and becoming regular performers at major festivals including Tomorrowland, EDC, and Coachella.
‘Weekend’ is out now via Island Records and is available on all major streaming platforms.
